HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. – Soberlink, the leader in mobile breath alcohol detection technology, proudly announces the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation as the first annual recipient of its Continued Care Partner Award.
The Connection Program was launched by the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in 2011 and has successfully served thousands of clients in early recovery by providing personalized addiction recovery coaching, monitoring and family support. Connection coaches are licensed addiction counselors trained in recovery management, relapse prevention and phone support.
“The Connection Program exemplifies how continued care should look,” says Andy Rothman, VP of Business Development for Soberlink. “We are proud to have Hazelden Betty Ford as our partner in improving outcomes for those struggling with an alcohol use disorder.”
Even with data showing that long-term monitoring improves outcomes, the majority of treatment providers do not offer a continued-care plan for discharged clients. Addiction is a chronic disease and should be monitored as other chronic diseases are, like diabetes or hypertension. The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, a national nonprofit leader with 17 sites nationwide, understands the importance of extending services beyond the walls of the treatment center and into individuals’ daily lives when they transition back home.
“Connection is designed to improve recovery outcomes by providing guidance, support and accountability to not only participants in those critical months of early recovery but to their families and others concerned about them as well. Soberlink is an integral part of The Connection Program and we are honored to receive their acknowledgement as their Continued Care Partner for 2017,” says Janelle Wesloh, the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s Executive Director of Recovery Management..
The winner of Soberlink’s Continued Care Partner award receives a cash donation to be used toward continued care services.
