Remarkably, after embarrassing her in our small community, my wife didn’t leave me. Still, after years of broken promises, she was understandably skeptical of my newfound lack of desire to drink. Sometime later, at my first court appearance, I found that the District Attorney’s office was also skeptical. Soberlink solved both issues with the results consistently emailed to both my wife and the DA’s office. Although I had genuinely had a life-changing (although very unpleasant) experience in jail, it provided a psychological safety net for me during my first year of sobriety. Just as importantly, it helped me start to rebuild the trust with my wife I had damaged during my years of drinking.
