Better With Age

I have been sober since 10-14-2021, and I couldn't have made it this far without Soberlink. I was always a recreational party girl. No issues, no alarm bells until I got older. In my mid-30s, my drinking became a frequent thing, but still no issues. Successful job, relationship, etc. My life continued like that for years. I didn't know then, but looking back, I was spiraling into a full-blown addiction. Never touched drugs - alcohol was my thing. I never did shots or drank hard alcohol until the last few years before getting sober, so I thought I was ok and my drinking was normal.In my 40s, relationship and health issues began, but I thought I was just fine. Long story short, I have been hospitalized a few times, followed by many stents in the ER because of seizures, broken bones, alcohol poisoning, etc. I am now 58, still married, with three grandkids, and retired. I attend group counseling, individual therapy, work out, and play tennis, and I am healthier and happier than ever!!!!Soberlink made the accountability part of sobriety easy.
