Available to anyone in alcohol recovery and also included as part of a Lighthouse residential stay, The Lighthouse Recovery 365 Coaching provides companionship, camaraderie and monitoring in a supportive atmosphere of mutual respect. Consisting of staff — caring professionals in recovery themselves — Recovery 365 focuses on the client’s needs while building a solid foundation for sobriety and is extensively connected to the Fairfield County recovery community. The Lighthouse will also provide a sober companion to individuals traveling on business or on other trip. Door-to-door service insures the welfare of residents and nonresidents alike, allowing for secure travel to and from the destination.
Both The Lighthouse Sober Living and The Lighthouse Recovery 365 have used Soberlink as an integral part of their program since their inception. Soberlink combines a professional grade Breathalyzer that is wirelessly connected to a cloud-based web portal. The technology uses facial recognition to confirm identity, tamper resistant sensors to ensure integrity of the tests and automation to create a seamless monitoring solution. Challenges
The effectiveness of peer support in recovery has been extensively documented. People of the same approximate generation, socioeconomic background and interests have a much higher chance of recovery if they can relate to each other. While the demands of the job may be a contributing factor to their alcohol use disorder, complete removal from the situation can create an equally stressful situation or conversely, a temporary and unrealistic solution that may result in relapse once they return. Strong coping mechanisms and ongoing support must be in place before they can successfully return to their homes, jobs and families. Suggested Use Protocol
